VUP has ten sonographers with extensive experience in general vascular and post surgical surveillance. The team shares their specialised knowledge in conference presentations, workshops, research papers and hold regular in-house tutorials. 

Thirteen consultant vascular surgeons report the ultrasound examinations. Their surgical practices are completely seperate entities.

Technical Director and Partner, James Gotting.

James has worked as a Senior Sonographer in both Public and Private Hospitals in South Australia, Victoria and the UK. He has been Post Graduate Lecturer at The University of South Australia in Vascular Ultrasound. James spent several years as the national travelling vascular workshop presenter for The Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (Governing body).
He has been an invited speaker locally, nationally and internationally.

Medical Director and Partner, Mr Ewan Macaulay FRACS

Ewan Macaulay trained at Trinity College Dublin graduating in 1988. He then underwent training in Ireland, England, Scotland and Adelaide before becoming a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland in 2000. After years of wet summers and cold, long winters, the Macaulay family emigrated back to Adelaide in 2007. He has been treating patients with varicose veins and spider veins with sclerotherapy for over 20 years. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgeons. In addition, he is an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, supervisor of training at the RAH, a regular reviewer for the South Australian Audit of Perioperative Mortality and member of the Medical Education Committee at the RAH.
